I have created radiology calculators as an educational tool. Quantitative data and the use of reporting and risk stratification systems have a steadily increasing importance in the daily work of medical imaging professionals.
Right now at launch we have several calculators that facilitate measurements and comparisons of various formulas approaching the same problem (e.g. pleural effusion or diffuse hepatic steatosis calculators). We have also have decision support formulae such as the ACR TI-RADS and EU-TIRADS calculators. These show specific recommendation for the management of thyroid nodules depending on the values you have selected.
All of the tools were designed with the aim to provide an easy and straightforward use. Still, to err is human – the design/layout of these tools very likely reflects my own biases.
