Liver steatosis grading (ultrasound)

Note: This simple score gives a rough estimate of liver steatosis based on its echogenicity. Please always make sure to familiarize yourself with the ultrasound scanner, and optimize B-mode gain and TGC beforehand to get reliable results. Whenever possible quantitative ultrasound techniques should be preferred rathen than ‘eyeballing’ steatosis
