About Radiology calculators

This site offers calculators ranging from those helping in simple quantitative formula (often simultaneously calculating results with multiple published equations). Some formulae are very simple equations, while others aid in the use of complex reporting and decision making systems. I believe that while using this calculators one can make it a habit to use such systems, thus allowing their adoption. Radiology calculators is at this point a solo project of me (Bálint Botz MD, PhD), a radiologist and neuroradiology fellow working at Department of Medical Imaging, University of Pécs Medical School, Hungary.

The calculators have been designed with many safeguards (e.g. the adrenal washout calculator will not return a result or recommendation if technically impossible numbers – e.g. enhanced HU is lower than non-enhanced – are entered) but should be nonetheless used at your own discretion. We also have to emphasize that while radcalculators.org offers calculators for Reporting and Data Systems (RADS) proposed by various organizations of medical imaging professionals, our calculators are not officially endorsed by the aforementioned societies.

Radcalculators.org is financially and editorially independent from my employer. Furthermore, as an active editor of Radiopaedia.org I have to emphasize that radcalculators.org is completely independent from my ongoing commitment to the aforementioned website.
